Lanarkshire FEI: Pilot Forest School with Phoenix House 2005
A 12 week programme involving the South Lanarkshire Ranger Service working with a local structured day service provider to pilot a Forest School with young, vulnerable adults, and to evaluate the challenges, benefits and potential to repeat. At that time the Forest School concept was fairly new to Scotland. Through their experiences in Forest School, 12 clients gained a variety of benefits, including confidence, self esteem, independence, improved relationships with other people and the local woodland environment, and new transferable skills/ interests for life.
