This project involved the Abriachan Forest Trust working with a variety of groups of vulnerable young people, participating in specific skill developing tasks within the community. The groups helped construct a shelter with a permanent path leading to it, and a feature, wiggly, drystone wall, with associated skills training - providing facilities for the wider community to use and enjoy. Participation in Skills not Spills mountain biking sessions provided essential diversionary interest. Self-confidence and engagement levels were raised, fostering more positive attitudes, and developing new employability and life skills for these young people.
