Our aim is to increase young people’s understanding of the local and global importance of trees, woodlands and forest environments. We also aim to increase people’s understanding of the forestry industry, the timber trade and the wood products industries.
Membership includes a wide range of Organisations and individuals who share these aims.
Our activities are initiated in partnership and as funds/resources become available. Examples include the Woodland Bus Tour which visited over 50 Borders schools and engaged some 2800 children and the production of an interactive CD-ROM with sound titled ’Woodlands’. A copy of the Master or User disc is available free on request. The Cluster Group has also been involved in an extensive Forest School programme.
